Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2019 Edmonton Airshow that will be held August 17 and 18 at the Villeneuve Airport. It is going to be our biggest airshow yet and we could not do it without your volunteer talent and effort!
Why should you volunteer for the Airshow?
Volunteering for the Airshow is a great opportunity to get in on the action at the second largest annual Airshow in Canada! In addition to lunch on-site, volunteers will receive:
- An event T-shirt
- Two tickets to the airshow; and
- An official fanny pack with other goodies!
What types of positions are available?
We have positions available on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday to help set up for the event. Available positions for Saturday and Sunday include working at the front gates helping with ticketing and welcoming people to the Airshow as well as volunteers to help out in the parking lots and other access locations on site. There are morning (9:00am – 1:00pm) and afternoon (12:00pm – 4:00pm) shifts on each day. Finally, volunteers are needed to help take down the event on Sunday evening (4:00pm – 7:00pm).
What are the greatest volunteer needs?
- Setting up the parking prior to the event on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Shifts are 8:00 am – 12:00pm and 12:00pm – 4:00pm. - Parking lot ambassadors during the event on Saturday and Sunday.
Shifts are 9:00am – 1:00pm and 1:00pm – 5:00pm.
We need 10 – 12 people for each of these shifts, so you can volunteer together with friends and family!

What happens next?
Once registered for a volunteer position, you can expect to receive a volunteer information package by early August via email.
